Colville Kiwanis Serves Children
Kiwanis in Colville has been in existence since 1930 helping children by building adult and youth leaders who serve the community.
By raising funds it supports, Little League, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Camp Baird and funds many community services throughout the greater Colville Area.
Who Are Kiwanians?
Kiwanis members are woven into the fabric of the community forming a binding thread acting much more as servants than as leaders.
It is this humble approach that makes Kiwanis so magnetic and attractive to people who want to make a difference.
What is a Kiwanian?
An individual who believes in giving primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than the material values of life, who believes in treating others as they would like to be treated in all human relationships; who believes in promoting the adoption and application of higher social, business, and professional standards; who desires to develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive and serviceable citizenship; who believes in creating and maintaining sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, goodwill and the individual desires to provide through this club a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build a better community.
Many members of Kiwanis did not seek to become members, they were asked to be members, to help serve the children of the community and THEY SAID YES.
So if you are asked to join Kiwanis, we hope you will say yes. You will be in good company.
